GRDA'S
SUMMER
GUIDES
READY
TO GIVE
TOURS... |

Several people took advantage of the free tours of the Grand River Dam
Authority's historic Pensacola Dam over the Memorial Day weekend, but if
you didn't get a chance, there's still plenty of time. GRDA will offer the
tours daily, through Labor Day, between the hours of 9:30 AM and 4 PM.
Tours originate from the visitor center, located at GRDA Lake Patrol
Headquarters on the west end of the dam, in Langley. This summer, visitors
will again be guided through the dam by tour guides (from left) Jim Mills,
Pat Hopper and Forrest Graham. In September 2003, Pensacola Dam was placed
on the United States National Parks Service’s National Register of
Historic Places, joining other historic national structures such as the
Alamo and Monticello. |
